CORRESPONDENCE.

PARAPARA ROAD

To the Editor

Sir,—"Dead Slow's" letter in your issue of 23rd undoubtedly refers to a period about a week or ten days prior to the above date, when there was practically a dead stop on tho Parapara road works. On the 23rd there must have been close on twenty men actually at work or getting ready for a start.— I am, etc., E. A. LEWIS. Parapara road, October 26.
