LEVIN AND CO.'S REPORT.
Messrs. Levin and Co., Limited report :— Wo offered to-day 20 bales of wool, 2700 skins, 600 hides, and a quantity of horse hair and tallow. The wool offered was only a rough lot, all fleece wool being held for the first wool sale of tho season, to be held on 17th November. Skins ruled at last sale prices. Wo quote :—
Merinos B£d to 9d, fine crossbreds B|d to 9d, coarse crossbreds B^l to B|d, dead skins 7d to 7^d, short wools 7cl to Sd, lamb skins 8d to B|d, butchers' green 7s 6d to 8s each.
Tallow.—ln casks 20s lOd, in tins 17s Gd, rough fat 14s.
Horso hair, Is 2d per lb. Hides.—Prices were barely maintained WeW quote: Ox hides 5d to s^d. cow hides 4£d to 4-^d, cut and slippy ludes 3£d to 4^d, calf skins 5d to G^d.
