The weekly average per pen is 25.10. The highest laying for the week are; Marlbprough A. and P. Association's White Leghorns 37, Mick Shaw's White Leghorns (from Blenheim) 36, Hickman's Brown Leghorns (from Baloairn) 36, T. West's White Wyandottes (from Feilding) 35, A. Snodgrass' Black Orpingtons (from Masterbon) 35, L. Clouston's Black Orpingtons (Blenheim) 35. The order of merit in the grand aggregate is: H. Leger's White Leghorns (from Levin) 750, Brooks' White Leghorns (South Australia) 697, 'A. and P. Association's White Leghorns 653, Mick Shaw's White Leghorns (Blenheim) 632, Hockey's Brown Leghorns (Nelson) 631, Jonathan Hodson's Whit© Leghorns 623. There are about 80 hens in a broody condition.
