ASHP.URTON October 27. Cases against two tradesmen for issuing bogus summonses withooit an imprint on them with the object of collecting accounts were dismissed. The magistrate held that the practice was objectionable, but that the defendants were not liable, as the documents did not come ■within the meaning of the Act. If the prosecution thought the case of sufficient importance he was willing to submit it to the Supreme Court, as the custom was 'much in vogue throughout the colony. AUCKLAND, October 27. At the Magistrate's Court, Eugene Hulse sued Dr S. A. Bull^ honorary physician of the Auckland Hospital, claiming £200 far 'loss of his adopted son, alleging that defendant treated the boy for typhoid fever, when the real troulble was inflammation of the lungs. The case is. now proceeding.. NEW PLYMOUTH, October 27. Mr Hutchison, S.M., this morning fined^. J. W. Reaby 20s and costs for a breach of the Electoral Act of 1902. Reaby signed a claim for enrolment about one month after arriving here from another district. He declared that he thought at was a transfer claim he signed. Another charge against a person who witnessed a claim was dismissed.
