Competition in the dog classes at the forthcoming shows promises to be very keen, and fanciers will no doubt welcome any suggestions that will tend to increase their chance of catching the judge's eye. Messrs. Young and Collins are right up-to-date in this respect with a large new stock of dog requisites, in the shape of collars, leads, kennel chains, couplers, coats, whips, whistles, soaps, brushes and combs, bells, etc. These goods are meeting with great favour, and all interested are advised to make their selections as early as possible, so as to avoid disappointment. -11 Waverley residents are reminded that Messrs. C. L. Duigan and Co. hold a clearing auction sale of the whole of Mr. E. Clark's furniture and effects on the premises, Main street, Waverley, to-day (Friday), at 2 p.m. By a replace advertisement in this paper, R. H. White and Co. are callins; special attention to their ladies footwear. R. H. White and Co. are the sole agents for Clark's dainty boots and shoes for ladies wear. Every pair guaranteed. See the special line of shoes now showing at White's for 12s. 6d. , Thost who wish to procure some of the finest fish obtainable should make a point of visiting R. Yarrow's to-day. Ho has got a very large shipment of schnapper, crayfish, moki, flounders. soles, gurnet, and various other delicacies of the deep. The prices are extremely low, as Mr. Yarrow must get rid of the fish to-day. Whitebait (the last of the season) will be sold to-day. Those who cannot leave their orders at the shop can order by telephone, and all fish will be cleaned and promptly delivered. Don't forget to call early.
