ORANGE BLOSSOMS.
The Waitotara Valley was quite en fete on Tuesday, October 17, when Miss Maud Pearson, daughter of Mr. Robert Pearson, of Dacer Bridge, was married to Mr. William Hobson, of Takapau. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. E. Martin, also of Takapau, at the residence of the bride's parents, which was artistically decorated for the occasion. The bride, who was given away by her father; looked exceedingly pretty and graceful in an elegant gown of cream silk. The bodice was adorned with silk insertion and chiffon, and an exquisite spray. A tuile veil was worn, with a dainty coronet of orange blossoms. She also carried a lovely bouquet. The bridesmaids were Miss Rhoda Psarson (sister) and' Miss Armstrong, of Wanganui (cousin). They looked charming in dainty white muslin gowns, carried beautiful bouquets, and wore gold band rings, the gifts of the bridegroom. Mr. Thomas Hobson acted as best man. The Wedding March was played by Mrs. C. Hobson. After the ceremony a reception was held, when Mr. and Mrs. , Pearson entertained a large number of guests. Mrs. Pearson wore a block merveilleaux blouse, lact collar, and handsome skirt. After the usual toasts were honoured ? the happy couple left for their home in Takapau. The bride's travelling dress was a handsome blue cloth coat and skirt. She also wore a black picture hat. The presents were numerous, ornamental and useful, many the work of friends.
