Consols, 88|; New South Wales fours 108, three and a halfs, 98, threes 85£; New Zealand fours 107, three and a halfs 99i, threes 86; Tasmanian threes 98£; Western Australian threes 86; other stocks unchanged. Bar gold, 77s 9|d. Wheat markets are quiet but firm, and prices generally improved slightly, especially in Germany 2 where there is mutch activity in antioipatipn of higher duties. ; Cargoes are quiet. * Thirty-four shillings is asked for off-coast and October shipments. Australian spot supply is limited at 345. New Zealand is firmer ; short-berried 29s 6d, long-berried 30s. Flour is dearer'; London 23s 6d, Glasgow 255. . Business is small; 23s 6d is asked for fine brands on passage. Butter is quiet; Danish 120s, choicest colonial 112s, a few lots 114s. Small supplies enable prices "to be maintained, though the demand is poor. Copper.—Spot £72 7s 6d to £72 12s 6d, three months £70 12s 6d to £70 17s 6d; tin—spot £148 12s 6d to £149 2s 6d, three months £147 15s to £148 ss; iron—s3s lid; lead—£l4 17s 6d; spelter —£28 12s 6d to £28 15s; silver—2 4|d. Sugar is .dull;'first marks 10s 4d, German 83 4d.
The Bradford wool market is quiet with a moderate turnover. Common sixtys 25fd, supers 26fd.
