DARGARVILLE, October 20. A serious accident obcunred at Tutamoe Bush, through a log falling on Peter Ooburn, who was injured internally. Twenty-two men took five hours to carry Mm.to the railway. In many places the 'bearers were waist deep in mud and slush.

Harry Armstrong, a young man whose parents in Tasmania, had hie arm broken and his back hurt through being carried twice round the belting of Dramgood's flaxmill at Waiuku. JEIOTORUA, October 20. An accident befell the Transport Coaching Conip>aniie<3 coach on the way to Tikihere to-day. When within a short distance of Tikihere it met another coach with four horses. On seeing the coach approach the leader of the Transport coach turned completely round and ascended.tho. bank. Tho result was that he upset the coach and the passengers were thrown on to the <road. "Five people were on board —'two gentlemen and three ladies. None of the passengers was hurt. One lady was somewhat shaken, and was brought into town by the Rotorua Motor Coaching Company's coaoh. The others walked to Tikihere and viewed tibe sights. Meantime, the Transport Company sent out a motorcar and brought the remainder of the passengers into town. The coach was damaged, particularly about the upper structure.
