Probable, General Symons, and Clanburn have been 'scratched for the NewZealand Cup.
Winners at Otaki and Napier Park have been penalised for the Wellington R.C. meeting which opens to-morrow as follows:—Shorts Handicap, Marguerite (10 lbs.) 8.8, Prelude (7 lb.) ".0, Wellington Handicap, Miahutonga (5 lbs.) 9.7; Flying Handicap, Prelude (7 lbs.) 7.0; Rimutaka Hack Handicap, Flotilla (7 lbs ) 7.0.
The double machine on the first day ay ill be open on the Wellington and Flying Handicaps—successive events on the programme. The North Otago J.C- meeting, the acceptances for which were published in yesterday's issue, opens at Oamaru
to-day. Gynsobel may run Veil in the Redcastle Welter; Juniper and Apollodoris in the Cup, and Koputai in thtf Oiekaike Handicap. Tikarawa has been scratched for all engagements at the Wellington Racing Club's spring meeting next Friday and Saturday.
T. Quinlivan could not secure stable accommodation at the Hutt, and it is considered doubtful therefore whether Mr. Watt will l>a represented at the meeting
Among those who have accepted the invitations issued by the Wellington Racing Club in connection with the spring meeting, to be held on Friday and Saturday next, are Lady Plunket and the Right Hon..the Premier. It ia anticipated that both Houses of the Legislature will be well represented on one or both afternoons.
