MELBOURNE, October 18. Theiye was splendid weather, and a good attendance for the second day's races. Results:—

Emo Hurdles.—Betrayer 1, De-» stroyer 2, Shilling 3. Betting: 5 to 4 against the winner. Mona Nursery.—Port, Arthur 1, Orielle 2, Berbon 3. Twenty-one" others ran. Batting: 7 to 4 against Orielle, 8 to 1 Port Arthur. Won by three lengths. Time, 47f sees. Eclipse Stakes.—Marvel Loch 1, Boabdil 2. Seven others ran. Betting: 7 to 4 against Boabdil, .4 to 1 Emir, 8 to 1 Marvel Loch. Marvel Loch led into the straight, where Emir caught her, and, drawing away, passed the post a length to the good. On returning to the scales Ross (Emir's jockey) was unable to draw weight, and the race was awarded to Marvel Loch. Time, 2 mins. 22f sees.
