WANGANUI WOOL AND SKIN SALES.

Messrs. Levin and Co. and Freeman R Jackson and Co., who held theii» sales in conjunction, report that they held their second wool, skin, hides, and tallow sale yesetrday, offering 38 . .ya'leJ wool, 1500 skins, 250 hides, and a quantity of horse hair and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers, a contingent coming from Wellington, and bidding was brisk. Everything on the catalogue was cleared at full market rates. Wo quote:— Wool.—Crossbred 9d to 9id, lambs' wool 9d to 7£d, medium crutchings tkl to 6id, dead wool 7^d to Bid. Skins.—Good crossbred skins 8d to 84d, half wool 7fd to B|d, short wools 6|d to 7d, dead skins 6£d to 7*d, butchers' green up to 8s each. Hides.—Good up to 26s 6d, medium ox from 20s to 245, good cow up to 19s, medium cow 12s to 17s 6d, rali skius to 4s. A large quantity of the hides coming in to this market are very badly saved, owing to want oi proper salting, and these, of course, realised lower prices than quoted above.

Tallow.—ln casks, 18s to 19s 6d pei* cwt., rough fat 14s per cwt., tallow in casks 17s per cwt.

Horse hair, Is 2d per Ib. Cow -tails Is 2d per dozen.

The next sale is fixed for 22nd November, and settlers are requested to have all produce forward by the Monday previous to the sale.
