PROPOSED VISIT OF AN ENGLISH
TEAM

CHRISTCHURCH, October 17
The Committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association passed the following resolution this evening: "That this committee is.desirous of assisting the New Zealand Cricket Association in bringing out an English team, and is prepared to guarantee not more than £300 for one .match against the team, provided it is played before the test match in Christchureh.
