At the Anglican Synod a resolution was carried recording the conviction oi the Synod that the present legalised facilities for divorce are undermining the family life of the nation, and that th<-. Church should strive to educate public opinion towards upholding the sanctity of the marriage tie, and the removal from the Statute Book of the Acts legalising divorce^ with the right of re-marriage in any case excepting adultery.
