WANGANUI CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL.
A deputation from the Carnival Comn.ittee, consisting of Mr. R. H. White and the secretary, waited on the Musoura Trustees last evening in connection with the proposal that the floral fete arranged for Boxing Day should be run conjointly. Mr. White explained the position, mentioning that several members of the Carnival Committee considered it would be a graceful action on their part to offer to share the profits with such a deserving institution as the Museum. If once established, there was no reason vhy it should not annually augment tho* funds of both bodies. Given fine weather and good management, a decent surplus and satisfactory show* from a public point of view was assured. Dr. Hatherly, Messrs. Griffiths, Gray, and Sarjeant all expressed approval, and with the addition of Mr. Diew, were appointed a committee with power to add and act with the Carnival Committee.
