ELECTIONEERING AT WELLINGTON.

THE TRIALS OF A CANDIDATE

WELLINGTON, October 16. At the last meeting of the Advisory Board of the New Zealand Farmers' Union the questions to be submitted to the candidates at the coining election were decided upon, and will be circulated to the branches in a few days.

Mr. Yerex, who is contesting the Hutt seat as an Independent, addressed a meeting at the Lower Hutt tonight. He denounced the Ministry for their alleged corruption, and declared his adherence to the New Liberals. At tho meetings held by Mr. Yerex in remote parts of the electorate resolutions of confidence in the sitting member (Mr. Wilford) have been passed. To-night no vote could be taken owing to the uproar.
