GERMANY'S LITTLE WAR.
United Press Association—Copyright. CAPETOWN, October 13. Thy Cape Government is officially informed that Marengo and Abraham Morris, a Hottentot chief, captured the German camp at Jerusalem, between Warmbad and Scuth Drift, killing 7 Germans and woundiing 8, also capturing all stock and stores. Some doubt exists as to whether tihis refers to the incident cabled on September 21.
The released German prisoners brought to General Trotha, Chief Maalengo's letter, stating that the Hottentots were now.in a position to take the offensive and fight to the bitter end. The German garrison at Klipplaats, hearing that 'Marengo was neair, burnt their stores and retired to Descondes' dam.
