THE CHURCHES.

.There will be no Sunday School at Christ Church this coming Sunday.

At Christ Church on Sunday afternoon^ at • 3 o'clock, his Lordship the Bishop of Wellington will administer the rite of Confirmation co sixty candi dates. His Lordship will 'also preach the sermon at Christ Church at the Sunday ev/aning service.

The Rev. Arthur Dewdney will preach in the Baptist Church 'to-morrow morning on '"iho Buoyant Hopefulness of the Christian Faith," and'in the evening on "Don't Hide Your Colours." At the close of the evening service the ordinance.of believer's baptism will be observed.

The services at Trinity Wesleyan Church will be conducted to-morrow, both morning and evening, by the Rev. S. Lawry, of Palmerston North (secretary of the New Zealand Methodist Conference. Mr. Lawry has a colonial reputation <as a preacher of great force and eloquence, and doubtless very large congregations will .assemble to hear him.

The Rev. R. M. Ryburn will preach at St. Paui,'s to-morroAv, morning and evening. - The evening sermon will be specially for young men and young women.

The Rev. It. M. Ryburn, who has been attending the Presbyterian General Assembly at Dunedin, returned to town by last night's train.

The Rev. J. Cocker1 will conduct morning and evening services to-morrow in the Dublin street Methodist Church.
