LIEDERTAFEL CONCERT.
Next Tuesday Evening.
For the third and last concert of the present season, to be given at the Opera House.next Tuesday evening, the L:iedertafel have arranged a very fine programme. "The Desert" will constitute the first part of the entertainment, and for the second the Society will sing two glees. "The Song of the Norfcemen," by Maunder, and Buck's "In Vocal Combat," which was so successfully* rendered at the last concert. Messrs. Impett and Brinkley -will contribute a piano duet, Mr. E. J. Hill, who has been specially engaged to render the solos in "The Desert." will sang Adams' always-popu-lar "Star of > Bethlehem," and a-.viola-solo by Mr. Maurice Cohen, of Palmerston North, probably the finest player on th:s instrument in the colony, will complete the programme. The rehearsals of "The Desert" have been well attended, and ai capital 'interpretation of David's immortal work is assured.
