NAPIER, November 27. An action for libel has been commenced by Mr T. E. Lindsay, auctioneer and stock agent for the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., against Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., stock and station agents, of Palmerston North, claiming £1000 damages in respect of statements alleged to have been made by the latter firm reflecting upon the plaintiff's conduct in a certain recent stock transaction. The case will be heard at the February sessions of the Supreme Court.
