Tho chairman was requested to' inquire, into E. Evans' case, and to grant relief if absolutely necessary. A cheque for J230 was handed in by Mr Thos. Clark, of Waitotara, towards the l'eliof of two Waitotara patients — Mr W. Hurley and Mrs Relling, both of whom ai'O suffering front severe attacks of rheumatism. A statement of accounts. , was presented, and accounts to the amount of £35 2s 7d passed for payment. The Borough Council applied for £1, rent due by P. Grace. Resolved that the Board d? not consider itself liable for this amount. '
