A lona delay took plaoa at the post in consequence of Gip3y King refusing to join his horses, but eventually the flag dropped to a beautiful start, The colours of Boresford and Oratchfiald were first to show in front, immediately followed by E3* gina and St. Glair, while Gipsy King and Moana were leading the rest, of which Torrent was absolutely last. Garibaldi 1 Teddy 2 Marmion ... 3 Selling Race. Melville 1 Painter 2 Kingask 3 Debby Stakeb, Maxim 1 Gipsy King 2 Sextant... 3 At the fall of the flag, Gipsy King rushed to the front, and made the running at a tremendous pace. At the Kennels, Maxim went up to the leador, *nd a furlong further wenb a length ahead of Gipsy King, Sextant a neck behind his stable companion. Gipsy King made an unsuccessful attempt to get on terms with the leader, who won by three parts of a length, Gipsy King beating Sextant by a neck. Time, 2min 40f 3ec (the fastest on record).
