COACH ACCIDENT.

Be-.-t.ton, November 6 All the members of the Lynch family of bellringerß had a narrow escape of loßing their lives on Friday night. They were returning from Oapleston to Beefton, after tbe performance they had given there, and when crossing the Inangahua river, whioh had risen very rapidly through the heavy rain, the driver of the coaoh was unable to keep the usual crossing, and the coach and horses were swept down the river. A large boulder stopped the coaoh, and with great diffioulfcy the horses were loosened- The bellringers remained on the top of the coach from midnight until 4 o'olook iv the morning, when the river feU nearly a foot, and assistance was rendered. Great praise is due to the driver, George Harris, and a man named Wolfe for their courageous conduct.
