Vickers pleaded that, having a wife and family in Dunodiu, he was harassed by the knowledge of their d°stitute circuui stances, and, the warder not looking, he simply walke'd-'awW. The gaoler gare liim a.good charaofef, and his Honor sentenced him to twelve months' hard labour. John Jon^bi' 62 years Void, pleaded guilty to .-, three charges -of forgery. The prisoner was sufferingfrona paralysis, and the Crown Prosecutor said that very likely he had committed the offence, in order , to -get into gaol, where he had been before for perjury, larceny, and forgery.
