(PBlt UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) ' "Wellington, June 30. The football match, Nelson Oollege /. "Wellington College, was played in four spells of twenty-five minutes each. In the first spell, B. 11. Smith, of Wellington, kicked a goal from the field ; in the second spell Trotter, of Nelson, got a try, which A. Withers, the captain, failod to convert into a goal. In tho third spell, T. Glasgow, of Nelson, got a try, in which the captain also failed to get a goal. During the last spell tbe Nelson men worked very hard, and Hodder getting a try, Withers succeeded \ in getting a goal. There was a strong wind blowing at the time, and both attempts at kicking the two goals by Nelson were against the wiud. Tbe Wellington boys worked well throughout the match, Nelson thus winning by one goal and two tries to Wellington's one goal.
