It is considered improbable that the proposal will receive any- active official support from Government. : Telegrams are to hand from Eaglehawk reporting, that a cage in one of the mines fell a. distance of 640Jfeet, and two men at the bottom of . the shaft were crushed to death.in a horrible manner.
