New Wool Stoeb. —Mr Freeman E. Jackson's new wool s^oro is complete and already in going order, a goodly supply of bales of wool.being stowed away there. Tho building itself, which was from the designs of Mr Wright, the architect, seems to be an admirable and simple example of what such a store should be. Tho floor is about 120 feet in length, by 30 in! width, the height to the eave3 being 15 feet, and to the gable 25 feet. The front, if without pretensions to bo ornamental, presents a neat and finished appearance, with its two large doors and six windows. At the southern corner, facing Taupo Quay, a part of the store has been partitioned off,; as a small but convenient office, having its own entrance from the street. The whole Ipuilding is of rimu and totara,.and the workmanship appears to be thoroughly .substantial. Mr F. M. Spurdle wac its builder, and the iron roofing and other similar work was carried out by Mr J. H. Horn.
