The annual matoh between the Cqllegiate School and the High' Sdhotfl"t6d'i place on Saturday, 28th Ootober,- re- , suiting in' a viotory for' the" Collegiate ■ School by eight wickets and seven runs. Hammond, captain of the Collegiate School, won the toss and sent in the High ' School. Francis, Sim, and Saywell making the chief scores. Francis played very steadily throughout, putting together.B.in the first innings and 15 in the_ second. The .totals in the first innings of each side were very olose, the Collegiate School making one more run than their opponents. For the Collegiate School,, in the firstj innings, Rutherford's 25 was of great service, the_ byes also helping very much with their 19: In their second innings; Halcombe, who made four, was the only one put out. Hammond' and Rutherford completely demoralized the bowling, bcth being not out when time was called with 12 and "28 respectively, Rutherford making a grand hit for four.
