To start at 12.45 p.m. Mabton-Ranghtikei St Legeb, a sweepstake of 10 sots for starters ; 100 sots f added ; for three-year-olds ; colts, Bst lOlbs ; fillies and geldings, Bst 71bs' ; 3 sots on acceptance and 5 sots at the post ; 1 mile 6 furlongs and 132 yards ; closed with twenty subs. To start at 1.30 p.m. District Handicap, of 40 sots; nomination, 1 soy ; acceptance, 2 sots ; for horses owned six months prior to date of- entry by bond fide residents who have been living within the counties of Rangitikei, Manawatu, and Wanganui for that tune ; one and a-quarter miles. To start at 2.30 p.m. Sack Race, of 10 soys ; entrance 1 soy ; post entry ; once round the course ; conditions the same as hi Hack Race on previous day; winner of first day's Hack Race barred. To start at 3 p.m. Railway Handicap, of 100 sots ; second horse to receiTe 10 soys out of the stakes ; nomination, 2 soys ; acceptance, 3 soys ; winner of M.-B. Handicap to carry a penalty of 31bs; one and a-half miles. To,sta'rt at 4 p.m. • Consolation Handicap, of 20 soys ; handicap for all beaten, horses ; nomination, 1 sot ; once round tho course ; post entry. To start at 5 p.m. Martojj-Rangitikei Dekby op 1886, for three-year-olds ; a sweepstake of 10 soys for starters, with 100 soys added ; colts, Bst lOlbs ; fillies and geldings, Bst 51bs ; 2 soys on nomination, 3 sots on general entry night for 1886 meeting, and 5 sots at the post ; one and a-half miles. Nominations for the aboTe race close on Wednesday, 4th April, 1883. RULES. No entry will be received for any race except upon this condition, That all disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the stewards present, or those whom tr y may appoint. Then- decision upon all pon.es connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be -final. 2. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Hon. Secretary, Bulls, entrance money enclosed, with the name, age at time of entry, pedigree, and in case of handicaps, performances of the horse, name of the owner, and colours of the rider. 3. Any jockey riding except in the colours entered will be fined 2 sots. 4. When two or more horses start, the property of the same owner, a distinguishing' colour must be worn. . 5. All races to be run under the W.J.C. Jtules. 6. Horses walking over will only receive half tie stakes. 7. Qualification fee for non-member 1 soy. . 8. In all races the second horse only saTes his stakes when it is specially mentioned. 9. No entry or nomination will be received after the time specified for closing. Letters bearing the postmark of date of entry, and telegrams of same date, will be received.
