May 10. The Adamant aailed on Sunday, with a c-rs^of wool ana tallow valued at £o/;81'2. Mr Ebenezor Baker, K.M. at Wairoa, has been removed. As Mr Seymour Tailored, son of Sir T. Tailored, was driving a bug«y and pair into town on Saturday, the trap was run into by a Maori on horseback. The collision broke fctjo carriage pile, and the horses bolted, one breaking his leg, and having afterwards to be shot. The occu~ pant 3of the carriage escaped uninjured.
