SYDNEY.
May 8. At an anti-Chinese meeting last night, at which fully 300 persons were present, Vivian Melville, the new member for Northumberland, declared that he would "stonewall " the Assembly on the Immigration and Chinese questions. News ha 3 been received from Barrington diggings that the crushing of two tons of quartz yielded 1900z3 of gold. A meeting has been held to initiate a Meat Freezing Company, with a capital of £100,000.
