April 22. At the annual meeting of the Acclimatisation Society it was resolved to increase tlje bonus for killing shags from 3J to Is. A petition to Parliament for a general shooting license for tlie colony, and to impose a gun tax of 10j, was also resolved on. On account of the nibbit. post, it was recommended to encourage the introduction of weasels, foxes, and stoats. The last resolution will be fully ventilated by the I cominiltee before givint; eiloct to it.
