April 22. This morning Butler pleaded guilty to burglary ut Stamper's house, but not guilty to stealing from the Catholic Church. The jury, without leaving the box, found him guilty. At the surgesdon of the Bench, the Grown Prosecutor entered a nolle prosequi in respect of the charge of aHcinptiug to shoot a con stable. Prisoner in answer to the usual challenge-, said nothing. The Judge, in passing sentence, said it was evident he had commitled crime froni his earliest childhood. The sentence about to be passed was based on a knowledge, of his previous career.
