Auckland, June 15. It is stated here that the Onion Company intend to send a boat alternately up the East and West Coasts of the North Island. New Plymouth, June 15. The cutter Dawn, from Manukau, timber laden, went on the North Spit while entering Kaipara. There was a very heavy sea running at the time, and it was blowing fresh, ■when her mainsail carried away and she went ashore. She has sprung a leak. The captain, a native, has abandoned the Dawn. On running down, she put into Raglan through stress of weather. She attempted to cross the Waitara bar arith stormsuil only, and it was ebb tido with a strong fresh. The captain, finding she could not fetch sufficiently to .■windward when in the break, put helm hard up, and beached her half a mile to the north of the bar. She is owned by natives, and uninsured. The wreck will be sold to-day.
