Wellintow, Oct. 28. • Sailed— Forest Queen, for Wanganui. '. . Westpobt, Oct. 28. i?e the wreckage at Karamea,- no definite information has been received beyond a vague official report. The 'Weatport Times,' on the authority, of the. ferryman on the Little Wanganui river, says, a carved gilt figure of Cupid, three feet high, off the Btern of a Teasel, has' been picked up; also a cedar cabin doorstep, with brass combings ; water casks, oak plank, cork lining of a life-boat, blocks, cordage, and gear. . The ferryman cays the beach is strewn with debris, of which he has collected a large quantity. He has the buoy marked La, Hogue. It is understood that the Collector of Customs has telegraphed to the Commissioner for instructions. •
