BRISBANE.
Oct. 20. A telegram states that Commissioner St. George, the Inspector of Police, and two constables endeavoured to protect some Chinese when landing at Trinity Bay, but failed, the mob rushing them back into the water. The Commissioner urged au immediate despatch of a reinforcement of police to vindicate the law.
