In Wan<rauui after a splendid season in 1875, he ran and won the Licensed Victuallers I Purse, after three weeks training. In Napier he won the Flying Stakes. In 1H76 stood the season having 69 iVlar.-s, after which he Won the Wangauui Handicap £175, and a 2 Mile race for £GO. At the Taranaki Races Won Handicap Cup, Rrilway Slakes, and Laiies Purse. SIR WILLIAM WALLACE is a dark dapple bay, with black points, 16^ hauds high, with immense bone. Has splendid action, and is a sure foal- getter. Sir William Wallace was bred by John Ross, Esq., Forrest Hill, Smeaton. Victoria,. Hia sire was the farfamed and .veil-known pure-bred Clydesdale stallion, Major, imported by J. aud W, Dougal, 1 scott, Victoria Major was br>-d by the. well-known breeder, W. Fulton, Sproulston, Scotland. Major's sire, Clyde Boy, sire, of Sir Walter Scott, the grandest stallion ever Scotland produced, Major's prizes are too numerous to meution. Major's dam, Princess Royal. Sir William Wallace's dam, Jenny, was exhibited fifteen times, and gained thirteen first prizes and one second prize in 1865. She was awarded the Champion Prize at Ballarat for the best mare in the yard either imported or colonial, agaiust seventeen competitors In 1872, at the same place, she gained the first prize, with three of her progeny ; also in 1873, at the Grand National Show, held at Smeaton, Victoria, she was awarded the first prize, with three of her prog.ny. Sir William Wallace was shown seven times, and gained six first and one second prize. He was shown at Ballarat, Smeaton, and Clunes, as a yearling, and was awarded first prize at each place, When two years old he was awarded first prize at Clunes ; also firat prize at Ballarat and second at Smeaton. When three years old he was again awarded first prize at Ballarat, thus showing Sir William Wallace to be one of the best-bred sires that the colony has produced. His stock was awarded first, second, and third prizes in Palmerston, in 1872, and also first and second at the same place in 1873. Terms: — Single mare, £3 10 ; two or more mares, £3. Sir William Wallace's pedigree, and the number of prizes taken by him and hia stock at some ofthe best shows in the Southern Hemisphere, are a sufficient guarautee to assure the public that he is a first-class horse, and second to none in the province.
