WELLINGTON. Oct. 18. A report has been widely circulated to the effect that during the recess Ministers intend to live in the provinces to which they respectively belong, as " Resident Ministers," but it is understood that, with the exception of the Hon Mr Whitaker, who cannot give up his professional duties in Auckland, the report is entirely untrue. DUNEDIN. Oct. 18. The land revenue for the last quarter, exclusive of Southland, amounted to £124,470.
