NAPIER.
April 22. At the annual Licensing meeting all the licenses for Napier were granted. . At Meanee William Barton Hill's license was refused on ground of complaint by the Hon. W. Fox, of insufficient accommodation. ' j A piece of the coal found by Yuil's prospecting party on Birch's run at Eeastearn Patea has been examined by Dr. Hector who reports it to be brown coal with evaporation power of 6lbs.
