The daj’S appointed for Ball Practice of fto; I' Company during this ’ month, are Mon-'" days and Fridays at 7 a.m. and 2 p.rrr,' For 7 No. 2 Company Tuesdays Saturdays, at * 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. This leaves W ednesdays and Thursdays for private practice, and Militiamen and Cavalry" Volunteers desirous of contesting for the Prizes are recommended to take advantage of ; these days for practice. A non commissioned 'officer will be in attendance at the Practice!ground on Wednesdays and Thursdays,- with - rifles and ammunition, at 3 o’clock p.m-; 3. Cavalry Volunteers desirous of contest- - ling for the Prizes, are requested to give their names into the Afilitia Office on an early day, , that they may be supplied with ammunition. In reference to Orders of the lOtlriusff.,it is intimated that a day will be set apart for the Militia and Cavalry Volunteers to contest for the Prizes after the Rifle Volunteer Companies have all competed ia the contest. Wanganui Ferry- 1 TENDERS are invited for Leasing the TFanganui Ferry for one year, dating from* June Ist, IS6I, to 31st May, 1562. Conditions of the Lease, and particulars of the management of the Ferry may be ascertained on application at the Court House.
