IN CRICKET MATCH AT MASTERTON EACH SIDE COMPLETES AN INNINGS. GOOD SCORE BY STEVENSON, At the conclusion of the first day's play in the Wairarapa-Hawke’s Bay cricket match yesterday at the Park Oval, Masterton, the visitors were 23 runs in the lead, each side having completed an innings. Hawke’s Bay compiled 188 (Stevenson not out 95, Hay 19, Wilson 19, Davis 10; McMichael 3 wickets for 31; Masters, 3 for 49; A Whiteman, 2 for 28; A. Mahoney, 2 for 50; Fitzpatrick, 0 for 23). Stevenson hit sixteen fours. Wairara’pa replied with 165 (O’Brien not out 36,* Fitzpatrick 33, Jones 24, McMichael 19, Thomson 15, Hourigan 12; Wilson, 7 wickets for 66; Goodall, 3 for 38; Davis, 0 for 2; Gallagher, 0 for 7; Hornibrook, 0 for 27). O’Brien and Fitzpatrick hit five 4's in their scores. McMichael and O'Brien added 43 runs to the score for the last wicket, both batsmen shaping exceptionally well.

HAWKES BAY 71 FOR 6 The match was resumed this morning and at the luncheon adjournment Hawkes Bay in the second innings had 71 ud for the loss of 6 wickets (Mitchell 35, Stevenson 13; A.
