FIRMLY IN GERMAN HANDS ACCORDING TO ENEMY NEWS AGENCY (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, December 27. The German news agency claimed that the island of Korcula, off the Dalmatian coast, is firmly in German hands. “The island previously served as a supply base for Marshal Tito’s bands,” it adds. “Energetic action smashed stubborn enemy resistance and only minor groups escaped, in coastal vessels to neighbouring islands.”
