RUMOURS ABOUT GENERAL MACARTHUR. NOT GOING TO WASHINGTON IN NEAR FUTURE. SYDNEY, December 23. “There is no foundation whatsoever for the statements that General MacArthur expects to go to Washington in the near future for conferences,” declared the spokesman at the SouthWest Pacific headquarters today.
