A MERRY PARTY

CHILDREN ENTERTAINED BY HIBERNIAN LODGE There was a large attendance of children and adults at St Patrick s Hall last night when the annual Christmas tree party for children, given by the Hibernian Lodge, was held. A most, enjoyable time was spent by the children who each received an excellent present from a heavily laden and prettily decorated tree, the gifts being distributed by Father Christmas, who was warmly welcomed by the president of the lodge, Brq Ralph Gleeson, and greeted with cheers by the children. Sweets were also distributed among the children by Father Christmas, and later a merry band of children and adults sat down to a supper that was greatly appreciated and which was presided over by brethren and sisters of the Hibernian lodge and other willing helpers. It was one of the most enjoyable of the long series of Christmas parties given to children by the Hibernian Lodge, the members of which were heartily congratulated on the success of the gathering last night and their kindly consideration for the welfare of the children.
