GRASS SEED GOOD SUPPLY OF COCKSFOOT. (“Times-Age” Special.) There is an abundance of cocksfoot grass seed this year, and the warm weather has caused it to ripen quickly. Workmen and boys are busy harvesting it with good results. Bowling. Games in the champion pairs have progressed further as follows: —Tucker beat Simmonds, 16/15; Barber beat Hughan, 37/16; Barr beat Edwards, 22/17; Underhill beat Harris, 20/19; Sorensen beat Tucker, 19/18. Personal items. At last night’s meeting of the Carterton Borough Council, sympathy was extended to Mrs C. E. Jones in the death of her husband, who was a former Borough Councillor. Mr F. Rawlings has found it necessary to enter the Masterton Hospital for treatment.
