RESTORATION IN INVERCARGILL CARRIED BY 45 VOTES OFFICIAL DECLARATION (By Telegraph—Press Association.) * INVERCARGILL, This Day. An official declaration of the final figures of the local option poll in Invercargill was made this morning. There is no change in the figures previously announced, these being: Restoration, 8,590; no licence, 5,651. Consequently restoration is carried by a margin of 45 votes. The figures of service men’s voting are not being disclosed separately, though it is known that the change was effected largely by service men overseas favouring restoration.
