News of Captain Charles Upham, V.C., has been received in London .from Sergeant R. J. Mackenzie, Taitapu, who is in Stalag Luft Three, a cablegram reports. He says that Upham and Captains T. White, M. Oliver, G. Parsons and W. Skegg, all of Christchurch, were “here for a. few days and came up for a brew with me. We fixed them up with cigarettes and tobacco.” Mackenzie adds that mail from home has improved.
