MASTERTON CLUB. RESULTS OF LAST NIGHT'S EVENTS. The Masterton Swimming Club continued its competitions last night before a good attendance of the public and some very keen finishes were witnessed. Results: — Junior boys’ 25 yards freestyle: M. Voice, 1; M. Gleeson, 2; J. Hawkins, 3. 25 yards breaststroke: M. Gleeson, 1; M. Voice, 2; M. Saunders, 3. Junior girls’ 25 yards freestyle: M. 'Finn, 1: Y. Ihaka, 2; M. Stewart, 3. 25 yards breaststroke: M. Stewart, 1; Y. Ihaka, 2; M. Finn, 3. Learners’ race: P. Bodie, 1. Men’s 50 yards freestyle: First heat: L. Foreman, 1: B. Beecroft, 2; H. Mangham, 3. Second heat: L. Wickens, 1; F. Knott, 2; D. Kean, 3. Final: L. Wickens, 1; L. Foreman, 2; F. Knott, 3. ' Ladies’ 25 yards freestyle: B. McCormack, 1; M. Pauling, 2; A. Burton, 3. 25 yards breaststroke: M. Pauling, 1, M. Wickens, 2; B. McCormack, 3. Boys’ dive: M. Gleeson, 1; R. Finlayson and J. Hawkins, equal, 2. Ladies’ dive: M. Pauling, 1; B. McCormack, 2; A. Burton, 3. The following will compete m the Wellington trials on Saturday for the New Zealand championships:—Junior boys: I. Reynolds.- Intermediate boys: L. Wickens and D. Stewart.
