ANNUAL PRIZE-GIVING ST. MARK’S SUNDAY SCHOOL. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual prize-giving in connection with St. Mark’s Sunday School, the following children gained awards: — Kindergarten division: Ann McKenzie, 1; Alison Dyer, 2; Noeline Archer and Beverley Rofe, equal, 3; Janet Court, 4; Margaret Ardrey, 5; Shirley Gallon, 6. Class I (girls): Judith Knutson and Nancy Booth, 1; Mary Sexton and Maureen Booth, 2; Naomi Rooney, 3; Nancy Goodin, 4. Class I (boys): John Gallon, 1; Colin Goodin, 2; David Johnson, 3; John Ardrey, 4; Ronald Lipinski, 5. Class II (girls): Patricia Barr (Rathbone prize), 1; Beryl Goodin and Florence Sexton, 2; Beverley Goodin, 3; Joan Candy and Pat Rooney, 4; Barbara Knutson, 5. Class II (boys). Bruce McCarthy, 1; Garth Knutson, 2; Graham Dyer, 3; Denis Ardrey, 4; Edward Clarke, 5; Alfred Dew, 6; Graeme Press, 7. Tarring and Sanding Broadway. The borough overseer and workmen yesterday made a start with the rolling of the southern footpath on Broadway preparatory to tarring and sanding it. The work should be completed before Christmas. Personal. Mr A. E. Pankhurst, postmaster of Carterton, has received advice that his son, Pte. E. E. Pankhurst, has been wounded in battle in Italy.
