The borough overseer and workmen yesterday made a start with the rolling of the southern footpath on Broadway preparatory to tarring and sanding it. The work should be completed before Christmas. Personal. Mr A. E. Pankhurst, postmaster of Carterton, has received advice that his son, Pte. E. E. Pankhurst, has been wounded in battle in Italy.
