The following are the positions of the teams in the' Wairarapa Cricket Association’s junior championship:— Red Star, 34 points; College, 26 points; Daniell’s, 13; Air Training Corps, 5; Y.M.C.A., 0. COLLEGE MATCH RONGOTAI BEATS WAIRARAPA Rongotai College won the annual cricket match with Wairarapa High School by seven widgets when the game was concluded at Kilbirwf Recreation Reserve yesterday. Wairarapa, batting first, on Monday, made 159 runs, and when stumps were drawn Rongotai had 70 runs on for the loss of one wicket. Continuing yesterday, Rongotai ran the score up to 227 for nine wickets, then declared. Tomline made 63 and Denby 54. Bowling for Wairarapa. Bannister took five wickets for 93.
In its second innings Wairarapa made 201. G. Masters scored 53, K. Masters 36, Lyver 32, and Nicol 29. Rongotai had to get 135 runs in 70 minutes, and scored 141 for three wickets. Woolley made 67 not out. Bowling for Wairarapa Hayes took three wickets for 53.
