HEAVILY DEFEATED
JAPANESE AIR RAID ON ASSAM TWO BOMBERS & FIVE FIGHTERS DESTROYED. VERY LITTLE DAMAGE DONE. LONDON, December 14. Japanese aircraft raided an American airfield in Northern Assam yester'day. Two Japanese bombers and five fighters were destroyed. The raiders did very little damage and there were few casualties.
